Other important sources include China (Hebei Province), Myanmar (Mogok), Pakistan (the Suppat district in Kohistan, which produces the world's finest large stones), Vietnam, Tanzania, and Norway (the island of Seiland). Peridot is one of the few gemstones found in only one colour — green — caused by iron in its crystal structure.
