Larimar has a Mohs hardness of 4.5–5 and is sensitive to prolonged water exposure despite being nicknamed the Atlantis stone. Very brief rinses under lukewarm water are acceptable if dried immediately. For energetic cleansing, moonlight bathing, selenite charging, sage smoke and sound vibrations are preferred. Avoid sunlight which will fade its blue colour over time. Store in a cool, dark place in a soft pouch.
