Kunzite has a Mohs hardness of 6.5–7 but has perfect cleavage, meaning it can split along certain planes if knocked. Brief lukewarm water rinses are safe — dry immediately. For energetic cleansing, moonlight is ideal for this gentle heart stone. Selenite charging, sage smoke and sound cleansing also work well. Important: kunzite fades significantly in sunlight, so never expose it to UV light. Store in a dark, padded pouch.
