Fluorite is a softer crystal (4 Mohs) that should not be soaked in water, though a very brief rinse under lukewarm water is acceptable if dried immediately. For safer energetic cleansing, use selenite charging, moonlight bathing, sage smoke or sound vibrations. Fluorite can fade in direct sunlight, so avoid UV exposure. Store separately from harder crystals in a padded pouch, as fluorite scratches easily and can cleave along its octahedral planes if knocked.
