Dumortierite is a hard crystal (7–8.5 Mohs) that can be safely rinsed under lukewarm water. Dry with a soft cloth. For energetic cleansing, moonlight, selenite charging and sage smoke are all effective. Sound cleansing with a singing bowl also works well. Avoid harsh chemicals. Store in a soft pouch to maintain its deep blue polish.
