Chrysoprase has a Mohs hardness of 6–7 and can tolerate a brief rinse under lukewarm water. Dry immediately with a soft cloth. For energetic cleansing, moonlight, selenite charging and sage smoke are preferred. Important: chrysoprase fades in prolonged sunlight, so never leave it in direct UV light. Store in a cool, dark place in a soft pouch to preserve its vivid apple-green colour.
