Chrysocolla is a very soft crystal (2–4 Mohs) that must never be placed in water, as it is porous and will absorb moisture, potentially cracking or losing its colour. Cleanse with sage smoke, selenite charging, moonlight bathing or sound vibrations from a singing bowl. Handle with care and avoid chemicals, perfumes and extreme temperatures. Store in a padded pouch separately from harder stones.
