Amazonite has a Mohs hardness of 6–6.5, so a brief rinse under lukewarm running water is safe. Dry it immediately with a soft cloth. For deeper cleansing, moonlight bathing or selenite charging are preferred methods. You can also cleanse amazonite with sage smoke, sound vibrations from a singing bowl, or by burying it in brown rice overnight (discard the rice afterwards). Avoid prolonged water exposure, saltwater, chemicals and direct sunlight, which can fade its beautiful turquoise-green colour over time.
